How to fix 10001D

This issue is caused when carriage unit gets out of timing

Check the encoder strip, and verify that it is clean and free of debri

Check carriage belt and verify that it has no large ink residue that may cause it skip

Check if belt tension is too tight

check the ink cartridge level

problem with the carriage motor

make sure that carriage is on top of the cover of the rails and not caught in between the rail cover

Check the home sensor

Test it by placing the carriage in the middle, and see what it does

In rare circumstances the CR solenoid goes bad.
