Epson DTG Printer Shows Ink Empty Even Though Ink Cartridge/Bag Still Has Ink
Ink cartridge/bag still has ink in it yet the printer is reading that the ink is empty
Reason:
When the printer's suction cap pulls ink, the ink chip "counts" the volume of the ink pulled. If the suction cap is clogged/partially clogged, the chip will count the amount of ink the suction cap is attempting to pull even though only a portion of ink needed comes through.
This causes the printer to think the total volume of the ink cartridge/bag to be consumed even though there is still ink remaining.
Reason for clog:
- Not performing routine maintenance regularly
- Suction Cap going bad
